Oklahoma City – Today, the Attorney General campaign for Jon Echols, announced a massive fundraising haul in the first month of the campaign.
“Jon announced his candidacy to be Oklahoma’s next Attorney General just 34 days ago and in our first fundraising quarter we are proud to announce that we pulled in $650,533.45 overall, with $489,871.19 cash raised and $160,662.26 rolled over from his State House account,” said campaign manager Isaac Hadam. “Jon’s message of standing for the rule of law and working for everyday Oklahomans, combined with his proven track record of leadership in the State House, is resonating across the state. That has led to this tremendous fundraising haul and the endorsement of 18 sheriffs across the state so far.”
The reported number gives Echols more raised in his first quarter than the past 3 Republican incumbents in their first quarter reelection efforts for AG. It is one of the most impressive first quarter fundraising numbers out of the gate for an Attorney General candidate in Oklahoma history. The number is even more impressive given the fact that it was done in a shortened fundraising quarter.
Jon Echols is the former Majority Floor Leader of the Oklahoma House of Representatives. Holding the title for 8 years he is the longest serving Floor Leader in Oklahoma history.
